North Dakota's Capitol--Skyscraper of the Prairie--shines with memorable decorative window lighting during special holidays.

This custom began long before the 1950s, yet it certainly had an impact on North Dakota's The Pfeiffer Sisters, especially when the colorfully lighted Christmas tree changed into numerals of the New Year as the clock struck midnight.

Capitol Tour Guide, Cindy Solberg, Bismarck, shares the unique history of this custom as well as other delightful features within the stately Capitol.
